A. The assembly of God’s called-out ones—Acts 5:11 and note 111; Heb. 11:24–25
Acts 5:11 And great fear came upon the whole church and upon all those who heard these things.
Footnote 111 Church: Gk. Ekklesia, composed of ek, out, and a derivative of kaleo, called; hence, the called out (congregation), the assembly. It is the first time that the church is mentioned here in Acts as a local church.
Hebrews 11:24–25 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, 25 Choosing rather to be ill-treated with the people of God than to have the temporary enjoyment of sin.
